Hi!

I thought I'd put up a guideline for people to help out with the intros. Most of us already know that things like emotes and "hi"s don't help
us figure out anything about the person writing the intro; therefore, here are some guidelines you can follow to help with the introductions page:

General rules:

1. Use YOUR FORUM NAME as the subject/topic to make it easy for folks to find your introduction.

2. Put something MEANINGFUL in your introduction about YOURSELF, NOT your persona. Introduce the personality belonging to whoever
is on your birth certificate using the forum name. (Hint: If it has no legal, state/country issued birth certificate, it’s a PERSONA.)

3. ORGANIZE your intro so folks can find things fast.

4. Not EVERYTHING about you is a secret. See below for some things that you might be able to post.

Some Ideas on What to Post:

1. What tends to be important on a forum is telling people
a. what pushes your buttons so they don’t inadvertently do that.
b. about your sense of humor so they don’t immediately take offense and ASK you if you were making a joke before getting irritated.
c. what region you are from. Most folks ASSUME the region is from their area. WRONG. So tell yours up front.

2. Other things NOT as important to tell but help folks understand you a bit: Tell us
a. what culture you’re from or what generation you identify with.
b. something about your country/state/region that might spark conversation.
c. something amusing about you that might spark conversation.
d. your hobbies or skills you have. Who knows, you may find a kindred spirit!
e. your favorite movies, books, things to do, etc.
